Discover and taste the best of Rome's food as you explore the Jewish Quarter and Trastevere with our expert food and wine guide.

Starting from Piazza Margana, a pedestrian area near the Capitoline Hill, the itinerary will lead us to the Jewish Quarter, one of the most fascinating district of the historic center of Rome. On a journey through the art, history and tradition we will discover the Jewish ghetto with food tastings of the typical local specialities, such as the artichoke “alla giudia”, the famous tart with sour cherry jam, local bakery products and much more.

Our tour gives the possibility to explore the historical district, admiring the Synagogue, the Porticus Octaviae and the ruins of the Theater of Marcellus. The itinerary will continue towards Campo de' Fiori to taste other iconic dishes and to discover the curiosities of the Italian cuisine. You’ll then continue with an exploration of the Trastevere district as your guide leads you through the streets to the banks of the Tiber and Tiber Island, learning about the area’s traditions and enjoying some other food and drinks tastings as you go.

The Jewish Quarter is one of the most beautiful areas in the city, which includes many beauties. This district is famous for the "carciofi alla giudia" (fried artichokes), one of the main dishes of Roman-Jewish cuisine. No visit to the Jewish quarter would be complete without a taste of them!

Campo de' Fiori

Campo de' Fiori

A magical open-air market in the morning and a romantic dinner date at night. Campo De' Fiori is surrounded by the memory of the Renaissance in Rome with places such as Piazza Farnese and Palazzo della Cancelleria.

Trastevere

Trastevere

Trastevere is one of the most pleasant and characteristic neighborhoods in the city, with its beautiful churches, alleys and squares, trattorias and craft shops, in a bohemian atmosphere. Walking through the narrow streets of the neighborhood, around the Piazza di Santa Maria in Trastevere where the ancient Basilica of Our Lady in Trastevere is located, you can discover hidden treasures and taste some of the typical local specialities.
