The tour will begin with a visit to the precious Sansevero Chapel, where Baroque creativity and dynastic pride, beauty and mystery intertwine creating a unique atmosphere that takes you back in time.
Among the masterpieces present is the famous Veiled Christ. We will then explore the city center, in particular San Gregorio Armeno street, famous all over the world for the countless shops dedicated to Christmas nativity scenes. After that, we will enter the National Archaeological Museum of Naples, one of the world’s greatest museums.
Located on top of the bustling Via Toledo, the museum was established in the 1750s by the Bourbon King Charles III. Since then, it took life as a cavalry barracks and storehouse for the precious finds that were unearthed daily at Pompeii. Many of the most spectacular finds from the excavations there, and at nearby Herculaneum, have been permanently housed in the Museum. These finds include a glittering array of mosaics, sculptures, precious artifacts and much more. Moreover, the amazing frescoes transferred from the villas and public buildings of the ruined cities around provide an unparalleled insight into the colorful and vibrant world of ancient Rome.

Located in the historic center of Naples, this chapel is more properly named the Chapel of Santa Maria della Pietà or Pietatella from a painting of the Virgin Mary (La Pietà) which was spotted there by an unjustly arrested prisoner. It contains works of Rococo art by some of the leading Italian artists of the 18th century including the Veiled Christ (1753) by Giuseppe Sanmartino, which is considered one of the world's most remarkable sculptures, and legendarily thought to have been created by alchemy.
The street takes its name from the religious complex dedicated to San Gregorio Armeno and is an authentic jewel of Neapolitan Baroque architecture. This is for everyone the “street of cribs” due to the presence of hundreds of shops of master craftsmen of crib art.
