Our private walking tour allows you to explore the highlights of city.

We will visit the church of Santa Maria Novella, a gothic basilica in Florence with beautiful frescoes by Ghirlandaio and Masaccio, and its Officina Farmaceutica. We will walk through the beautiful city starting in Piazza della Signoria, located in the heart of the city, with its ancient buildings and famous statues.

You will admire (from external) the majestic Duomo of Florence, known as the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, with its famous red dome it is the symbol of this glorious city. Quick break for lunch (not included). Than, you will be blown away by one of the most prominent museums in the world, the Uffizi Gallery, made popular by its extraordinary collections of paintings and ancient statuary: absolute masterpieces of art of all time. The tour will end by crossing Ponte Vecchio, one of the most iconic places of this beatiful city.

Santa Maria Novella Basilica

Santa Maria Novella Basilica

This famous church lends its name to the city's main railway station. Chronologically, it is the first great basilica in Florence, as well as the city's principal Dominican church. Inside you are able to admire frescoes by masters of Gothic and early Renaissance who were financed by the most important Florentine families to ensure themselves funerary chapels on consecrated ground. Among these, Tornabuoni Chapel, the Filippo Strozzi Chapel and the Gondi Chapel stand out and are highly prestigious.

The old Pharmacy of Santa Maria Novella

It is distinguished by the excellence of the formulae developed by the apothecary fathers, thanks to which during the 18th century its fame spread across national borders, reaching Russia, the Indies and even China. The Old Apothecary, now a herbalist's shop, was used for the sale and display of products between 1612 and 1848. The museum, housed in the Old Laboratories and Storerooms of Officina Profumo Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella, gives visitors the chance to get an insight on the machinery once used in the company's production processes.

Named after the Palazzo della Signoria, also called Palazzo Vecchio, it is the main point of the origin and history of the Florentine Republic and still maintains its reputation as the political focus of the city. Nowadays, it is the meeting place of Florentines as well as the numerous tourists, and gateway to Uffizi Gallery.

It is one of the most important and most visited Italian museums, famous worldwide for its outstanding collections of ancient sculptures and paintings, particularly from the period of the Italian Renaissance. The Uffizi was designed by Giorgio Vasari in 1560 for Cosimo I de’ Medici to house the Granducal Magistratures of Tuscany. Over time, the top floor loggia became an exhibition of the dynastic collection of ancient sculpture, artwork and artifacts.

Ponte Vecchio

Ponte Vecchio

An everlasting symbol of Florence, the Ponte Vecchio (or Old Bridge) was the only bridge across the Arno in Florence until 1218. Open all the time, along the pedestrian zone south of Piazza della Repubblica towards Palazzo Pitti, it doubles as a marketplace for gold goods and fine jewelry.
